Minutes of the December 16, 2017 Meeting at The Holiday Inn in Auburn, CA

Public Service Awards Meeting 2017

President Greg Hill called the meeting to order at 11:07 A.M.

Invocation: Compatriot Gordon Clark led the invocation.

SAR Pledge: The SAR Pledge was led by Compatriot Mike Hurst.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Compatriot Dale Ross.

Introductions of Guests: The guests for the December meeting were SAR Vice President Northern California Derek Brown and Janet Brown. Conni Barker, Coreena Ross, Jeannette Clark, Anita Hurst, Maryanne Gilliard and Armida Manifor. Daphne Chakurian, Ethan Chakurian, Elise Chakurian. Jennifer Hill, Emory Hill, Elizabeth Hill, Daniel Hill.

Approval of Minutes: Ron Barker made the motion to approve the minutes as published on the chapter website. Gordon Clark seconded the motion. The motion was approved.

Program

The program for the December meeting was the Public Service Awards.

Eagle Scout Report: There was no report given at the meeting.

Valley Forge: There was no report given at the meeting.

J.R.O.T.C. Program: There was no report given at the meeting.

Registrar’s Report: There was no report given at the meeting.

Membership Report:

Colorguard Reports: Dale Ross spoke about the Wreaths Across America. The colorguard did the colorguard duties at the New Auburn Cemetery and then the colorguard went over to the Old Auburn Cemetery to do the colorguard duties at the cemetery.

December 16th, 2017 the chapter will hold the Public Service Awards at the Auburn Terrace Room at the Holiday Inn Express. There will be the chapter awards and the chapter meeting.

Newsletter Editor: No report was given at the meeting.

Old Business

The nominations for the new officers were completed at the November Chapter Meeting. The slate of officers will be:

Registrar and Corresponding Secretary: Ron Barker
2nd Vice President and Chaplain: Gordon Clark
1st Vice President: Mike Holmes
Recording Secretary: Dale Ross
Genealogist: Mike Hurst

New Business

The slate of officers were voted in at the December meeting. Here are the new slate of officers for the Gold Country Chapter NSDAR for the year of 2018.

Past President of the Gold Country Chapter NSDAR Greg Hill handed over the gavel to the incoming President Tony Chakurian of the Gold Country Chapter NSDAR.

Adjournment

Tony Chakurian called for the meeting to be adjourned. Mike Holmes made the motion for the meeting to be adjourned. Mike Hurst seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Benediction: Compatriot Gordon Clark gave the benediction at the meeting.

SAR Recessional: The SAR Recessional was led by Greg Hill.

The meeting adjourned at 12:07 p.m.
