Welcome to the website of the Gold Country Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

SAR members are male descendants of a patriot who fought or assisted the cause of American Independence between 1774 and 1783.

The objective of the SAR is to celebrate and perpetuate the ideals on which our nation was founded.

We sponsor many youth programs and are actively involved in our community.  The Gold Country Chapter was founded in 1924 and is based in Placer County.  Our membership comes from throughout the foothills and Sacramento region.
